Dr. Henry Morgentaler named to the Order Of Canada

Today is closing day for our house which I am quite excited about. Once we get the key we will have a ton of work to do, so I expect there won't be a post for a few days. On an entirely different note . . .

I heard about something on the news today that saddened me and if you are a Canadian you should also be concerned.

Gov. Gen. Michaëlle Jean has named a leading abortion rights crusader to the Order of Canada, news that has outraged anti-abortion groups. Dr. Henry Morgentaler is one of 75 Canadians to receive honours for their contribution to the country. The Governor General announced the new inductees on Tuesday after the names were recommended by an advisory panel. -link-

As far as abortion goes I am most definitely against it as it is ending a life. Yes it is that simple. Not only that but many women who have abortions live a life ridden with guilt and psychological problems.

I just sent an email to the Governor General of Canada stating my disappointment about this decision and if you feel the same way I would encourage you to do the same thing. The government needs to know how the people feel!
